Words to encourage because life is good with God in it
We love learning from our leaders. They are stewards of God’s wisdom and share that wisdom obediently for our benefit. We hope you find encouragement to walk with Jesus in their words.
Proverbs challenge - #trainyourbrain
A 31-day challenge that will help direct the way of your life? Yes please! Wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Advice for life straight from God - advice we should follow coupled with promises of what that life followed can look like.
Be Intentional
Everyday, life requires us to respond to things that are happening around us. But as believers in Jesus Christ, being intentional allows you to choose your response even before things happen. We should be intentional with our words, our actions and our faith. Being intentional helps us to make decisions today that help shape our future.
How Do We Persevere When We Feel Hopeless
We all feel hopeless at times and if you are anything like me, you have probably felt hopelessness creep in even more over this last year and a half. What used to be right is now wrong and what used to be wrong is now right! People are fighting left right and centre, families are divided, so much hatred, churches are closing their doors... And even though I know my God is bigger than all of this...it still is hard to stay in the race with joy and courage, it is still hard to persevere at times.
Song Thoughts: Run To The Father
The first time I got to lead Run To The Father was at a Trinity Western mid-day chapel service last school year. I was a bit of a last-minute addition to the team and I was asked to lead this song. Pursuing Restored Relationships
I choose to see people the way YOU see them Jesus. I choose to respond, not react so others will be honoured, loved and valued. I choose to take responsibility for myself and walk in Your ways of love, grace and connection.
Choose your attitude
Over the past few months, something significant has been exposed in all of us, our attitude. I often underestimate how much my attitude determines my actions. My attitude determines how I handle my work, my words and my life. Here are three attitudes to choose today if you want to live well:
As Christ Did
If we decide to love as Christ loved us, it will look a lot like this. We would, Submit to one another, Forgive one another, Encourage one another, Restore one another as Christ did. Accept one another, Care for one another, Bear with one another, Carry one another’s burdens as Christ did.
Come Close
I remember life before constant digital noise. No inbox pings, Twitter tweets or Instagram notifications. Because of the Covid-19 virus, our culture is pulled toward distractions like: binging Netflix shows; scrolling through endless news feeds; checking every two minutes to see if we have a new notification.
Open your eyes
In the midst of COVID-19 our world is in a confusing time with days feeling like weeks and no clear end in sight. Many people are wondering what to do in a time like this. I was praying and asking God the same question and His answer was not what I was expecting. I was hoping for new and fresh information. He said: ”Do what you know”.
