Be Intentional

Everyday, life requires us to respond to things that are happening around us. But as believers in Jesus Christ, being intentional allows you to choose your response even before things happen. We should be intentional with our words, our actions and our faith. Being intentional helps us to make decisions today that help shape our future.

Be Intentional with your faith

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Everyday, life requires us to respond to things that are happening around us. But as believers in Jesus Christ, being intentional allows you to choose your response even before things happen. We should be intentional with our words, our actions and our faith. Being intentional helps us to make decisions today that help shape our future.

When we are intentional about who we listen to, about the places we go or don’t go and about what we value, we remove the distracting power of reactive living, which can throw us off course with every changing situation or opinion.

The world we live in is reactive. Therefore, as the Church we need to become more proactive about our purpose. Keeping in mind “If God is for us, who can be against us?” should intentionally target our prayers towards God's faithfulness rather than allowing circumstances to hijack them. Be intentional with the tasks about His purpose, to love others as He loves us, rather than wait for permission to love.

Your confession should move from casual to intentional. What are you purposely, deliberately and intentionally going to confess, seek and do this month? Paul intentionally chose to be obedient to God's calling during his hardest times. David chose in the best of times to praise God. We need to become those who are less casual and be more intentional. Not wasting words but planting them. Not talking about actions but taking action. Be intentional with your faith. Have a great week!
