We are seeking a Creative Media Coordinator to help communicate the heart, vision, and life of River Valley Church Vancouver through creative media, digital platforms, and in-person experiences.
Role Summary
The Creative Media Coordinator is responsible for creating, managing, and executing creative media and in-house church communication. This role supports weekend services, ministries, and special events by producing high-quality visual content and leading creative and production efforts.
Working closely with pastoral staff and ministry leaders, this role helps strengthen communication, engagement, and storytelling across the church while developing and supporting a creative and production team.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Media & Content
Create and produce visual content for social media, the church website, and in-person services.
Design graphics and media that align with the vision and branding of River Valley Church Vancouver.
Social Media & Digital Platforms
Manage and grow the church’s social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
Plan, schedule, and engage with content across platforms.
Weekend Services & Production
Prepare, operate, and maintain ProPresenter for Sunday services and special events.
Support Production and Tech needs for weekend services, ministries, and events.
Photography & Videography
Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for services, promotions, and online use.
Team Leadership
Build, lead, and support a creative and production/tech team.
Equip and mentor volunteers to serve effectively in creative and production roles.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience with Canva and/or other design software.
Experience in video and photo editing.
Working knowledge of ProPresenter.
Experience managing social media accounts.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience & Education
1–2 years of relevant experience in creative media, communications, or a related field.
A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the role, with a commitment to continual learning.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time role with hours that include Sundays and occasional evenings, depending on church services and events.
